Continuity

Continuity is required when a film or television programme are filming the same episode or scene at different times. The hair and make-up has to be the same in order to give the illusion that the scenes were filmed together in sequence on the same day when in reality they may have been filmed days apart. If the hair and make-up are different it will be really obvious to the viewer and will disrupt their viewing experience.
Continuity notes are important so that you can do the hair and make-up the same every time you are required to do so. Continuity notes should always be made even if you do not think you will need to re-create a look as you never know if a scene will need to be re-shot in the future.
