Claudia Final Shoot

I was pleased with how the make-up turned out on the final shoot. The colour of the eye make-up goes better with the colour of the dress as I hoped it would and because i did the bruising and wounds darker they show up better in the photographs. I maybe should of done the eye shadow a bit darker too so that it showed up more and perhaps the same with the lipstick as the lip shape is lost slightly. The hair worked how i had hoped it would and I managed to cover the hair grips and create the shape of curls that I wanted. I perhaps should of made the hair a bit more dishevelled to make it look like Claudia had been fighting and running away from Mrs Laderman and was therefore more windswept.

I chose this dress for my model to wear as I think the style and colour would fit in well with the Vampire Diaries. I think the look would have been better without the belt but the dress was a bit big for my model as her size was sold out so I had to get a size bigger and therefore the belt was needed as the dress was a bit too shapeless without it. I chose to add the black cardigan as I felt the dress looked a bit too mature without it and Claudia is supposed to be a young quite innocent women.

Hair:

- Use heat defense serum and cream on the hair and brush through.

-Section the hair so that there is a side parting and the hair around the face is section off. Also section the back of the hair into the layers you are going to curl the hair in.

-Curl the hair starting with the bottom layers and pin into place. Use medium sized tongs to do this and make sure the pieces of hair you are curling are not too big.

-When the curls have set unpin them apart from the top layer.

-Backcomb and curl the sections of hair around the face and then pin them in place with kirby grips.

-Then unpin the top layer of curls and place them so that they hide the grips.

-Use your fingers to break up the curls and make them aa bit looser and dishevelled.

-Use hairspray to keep the curls in place and smooth any flyaway hairs.

Make up:

- Mix together Illamasqua Matte Primer, skin base and Kryolan grease based foundation and apply all over the skin using a foundation and buffer brush.

- Apply Kryolan bronzer and eyeshadow in white pepper and caraway to make the skin look dull and hollow, focusing on the cheekbones and under the eyes.

- Apply Beauty uk eyeshadow pallette no5 twillight using the blues, black and white tones.

-Apply black pencil and liquid eyeliner and brow gel using an angled brush and disposable wands to apply.

-Apply Kryolan lipstick in LC142 and Mac Shine lipgloss.

-Apply Kryolan Supracolor  to create bruising and marks then use loose powder over the top to set.

-Also use bronzer on the arms to look like dirt.

-Apply fake blood to create the wounds.
